  Was in Tasmania for the week stopped here 4 times during the visit.
  Coffee was good
  Ham and cheese croissant was crisp buttery and fresh with real ham.
  
  The chunky slow cooked beef pie was on its own level with a massive amount of beef in it.
  
  Over all very consistent with friendly staff, both for take away and dine in.

  In the grand scheme of things I really just rocked up to Tazzy. I would imagine J and R set a standard in this town. It feels a bit old worldy and when introduced to it, it was was by people that don't accept anyyhing but real cream and homemade jam with their tea.
  
  I'll say this though, Nathan, the guy who works behind the counter at the Newtown branch, could probably do with a raise. The rest of the staff work hard but you know when somebody adds a little theatrics to service that they are a seasoned vet, and he is.
  
  As for the food? I doubt this surprises anyone but it's totally excellent. I would give a special nod to the carroway seeded rye bread and the Apricot cream cheese Danish. That bread is exceptional with pickle and cheese.
  
  All in all Hobart is lucky to have the place. Come get a little vitamin D out the front sometime and drink in the oppulence.

  Wonderful scallop pie!! You should try and go earlier, otherwise you have to wait to have a seat especially weekend. Of course you can take away.

  Its a busy cafe, but you manage to find a table. They have a good variety of breakfast options and friendly staff to help around with table service.
  
  1. Vegetarian pie:RECOMMENDED($12.50) - It is large compared to the other pies filled with chickpeas, potatoes and other vegetables. Their sauce is genuinely good.
  
  2. Lamb pie: RECOMMENDED - The filling is amazing with cruncy crust. All pies are served with sauce and salad on the sides.
  
  3. Latte and cappuccino: RECOMMENDED.
  
  Overall a great cafe with prices on the higher side but worth spending as they will not disappoint you no matter what you order.
  
  Parking can be tricky but you'll find one nearby.

  Recommended!! Friendly staffs with nice services. Lamb is really outstanding, must try! Coffee and rocky road were good as well. I would like to spend more time here if I could.
